Technical Security Integration, Inc. offers several training classes depending on the experience and needs of the students. TSI, Inc. charges a flat fee of $1000 daily plus expenses for each day of training paid for by the hosting facility. If you are hosting a training class in your facility, you are welcome to invite personnel from other facilities and charge a nominal fee per attendee. You may also choose to provide morning coffee and pastries and/or lunch which may be covered in your attendance fee. The amount charged for each attendee is left to the discretion of the hosting facility. Due to the shortage of qualified CCTV technicians in our area, TSI, Inc. is only interested in educating on-site personnel in order to better maintain their systems. Our flat rate simply covers our basic costs for conducting these classes. Any excess revenues generated by the hosting facility belong to that facility. You may choose from any of the following classes to begin. Each class is 1-day. ELECTRICAL THEORY – 8 HOURS This class teaches the basic theory and mathematics of electricity. Upon completion of this class, the student will understand the basics of current flow; polarity; series and parallel circuits; and power calculations. DVR THEORY AND DESIGN - 4 HOURS (FREE COURSE) We are offering this class because VCRs will soon be obsolete and DVRs will be the single, largest investment that casinos will make in their surveillance systems. This class teaches the technology and architecture behind Digital Video Recorders without the hype and sales pressure. This class is not designed to promote one manufacturer over another. Instead, attendees will learn the advantages and disadvantages of various DVR systems based on their architecture, infrastructure requirements, and technology. Students will learn the answers to many of the basic DVR questions such as: - How much storage will I need?
- How do I know what is the best type of system for my needs?
In addition to these basics, we will also answer: - What is an enterprise system?
- What is a VCR replacement?
- What is the difference between enterprise and VCR replacements?
- What are the state gaming requirements for a DVR system in casinos?
- Why are CIF and bit rate important?
These are just a few of the many questions that will be answered in this class. Upon completion, attendees will have the confidence to evaluate DVR systems from various manufacturers based on the merits of each system and the specific needs of the casino.
